Take care of our veterans

Inland Empire residents have served our nation in wars ranging from World War II to Iraq to Afghanistan. Now, some of these people battle PTSD, injuries, homelessness, and other maladies. They deserve not just our gratitude, but also our assistance.

There's nothing more important to me than making sure that the veterans who fought for our freedom abroad are treated with respect and dignity when they come home

My plan for our Inland Empire veterans:

  • Provide health services, including for PTSD and other combat related mental health issues by using the full extent of available government resources.
  • Work with landlords and local veterans' groups to ensure Veteran Section 8 vouchers are fully used.
  • Hold state sponsored housing and health care training for veterans
  • Sponsor a state resolution to call for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Week.
